Dogma
Judgment
The will of the Church is unshakable, as such must be our ways. The will of Roanth gifts all those under his glory to pass the glare of Divine Light, and those who bask in his glory shall know the sense of the piety. The fate of mortals flows to the feat of forces, but those who stand with The Holy one shall be forever under his guidance and compassion. The most holy flame burns with a glow of stark white, to carry this fire is to walk with victory and wrath against those who dare struggle and stand opposed to Roanth's will.
The Dead
The dead are unclean, they must be buried at dawn in a grove and given a proper tombstone with a Cleric at attendance. The dead shall remain as such, any attempts to raise the undead from the ground with the goal of reaching Undeath as opposed to proper life shall be regarded as the most heinous of sins. Followers must not allow Undead beings to roam the realm willingly, they must make all attempts possible to halt such creatures and return them to their eternal rest. Clerics are able to bring a deceased person back to life depending on certain happenings, even so those who have passed must be willing to return and Roanth must judge them beforehand. Clerics and Paladins can make use of their faith by casting a simple ward spell using their holy symbol as a focus; the spell weakens and wounds Undead creatures for a period of time.
Wisdom
Archives and scholarly pursuits are worth their weight in gold, do not allow one's self to be lost in the present by failing to master the past. All Churches under the glory of Roanth must be willing to host libraries in their walls, any tomes of greater interest are to be surrendered to the most Holy Vessel of Roanth's will. Protection of books is largely important, however burning texts carried and revered by heathens and heretics is a integral part of your duty to your faith.
War & Infidels
Those who tread the path of Knowledge bring about a new age, the era of Roanth shall soon dawn. Raise thy blade to those who challenge the, raise thy blade who challenge we; guard your brother as he would guard you twice over. Strike true with fervor for your resolution is sound, judgment flows with your blade. Smite the rotten, smite the cruel, smite those who mock your faith, and fight every battle until the final gasp of wind flees back into Roanth's grasp or surrender your self to the fire.
Repentance
You who have sinned so horrid, kneel to before an idol of Roanth and pay witness. To render ones own flesh and blood from the body as tributary penance is customary.
-Core Tenants-
All women of the faith shall practice the art of modesty.
All men of the faith shall practice the art of humility.
Thou shalt not bare witness to false idols.
Thou shalt not harbor the undead.
Ye must respect the will of the church and honor those most devout among the Clergy.
To curse Roanth's name is to incur the wrath of his will.
Smite not the weak, ill, young, or infirm of age.
Prayer must be heard from the lips of one with faith once every morn, lest ye incur Roanth's ire.
Prayer must be heard from the lips of one with faith once every morn, lest ye incur Roanth's ire.
Clergy & Churches
Roanth is the wielder of the Divine Light, a spark of flame bound to every living creature. The Divine Light is bound to Roanth's will and manipulation of it requires his blessing. As the Paragon of Judgment, Wisdom, Order, and Victory he is believed to be the most well respected deity in all the realm.
The Clergy of Roanth are comprised mostly of humans, however his faith has begun to spread among Elves and Dwarves as well. His followers are fanatically devout to his will, his Clergy having been the leading faith among the mortals for over 500 years until the fall of the last Karthite God-King. The faith has began to shrink after The Great War of Convergence, the revolt of Ba-Sol, and rise of the pantheon, however, it still remains one of the most prominent. In the past, the highest seat in the Clergy was held by the God-King, this lead to exeteme religious devotion in the Karthite people, until the God-King abused his seat in the Clergy to the point where it aided in spawning a revolt against him. After the revolt at Ba-Sol, the highest seat of the Clergy is held by the High Priest, below him are the Paladins and Clerics as the most holy mortals of the faith.
The faith held Influence on all of the Karthite people for over 500 Years. His Highest followers must obey his tenants or risk Excommunication, and those who break the word of Roanth shall face stripping of his might and the wrath of his followers. The largest church of Roanth on the continent of Rothrak, however the greatest idol of Roanth is located in Ba-Sol with the giant Owl of Roanth perched atop a pedestal.
